In the early 2000s, Samsung Techwin built a line of tanks for the South Korean army equipped with a 155 mm howitzer, called the K9 Thunder. The main weapon of the tank has a declared firing range of more than 74 km.

Samsung robot submachine gun
This robot submachine gun was developed by Samsung Techwin in collaboration with the University of Korea. The robot, called SGR-1, helps monitor the demilitarized zone. According to reports, it can hit a target located at a distance of up to 3.2 km.
In 2014, Samsung sold its Techwin subsidiary.
