As you know, starting with the iPhone X, Apple abandoned the Home button in favor of a Face ID face scanner and a frameless display. However, the mode “Convenient access” (also known as Reachability), which allows you to use the device with one hand (the screen “falls” almost half), has not gone away.

The feature first introduced on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus allows you to use large-screen devices with one hand. On supported devices “Convenient Access activated by double-tapping Touch ID. In Reachability mode, the user interface is moved to the bottom of the screen for ease of use with your thumb. In order to disable the function, you need to double-tap the sensor or any area outside the user interface.
On iPhone with Face ID button Home with Touch ID is missing, however the mode Convenient Reachability Access still available.

Despite the fact that the display of the iPhone 11 Pro, 11, XS, XR, X is longer compared to the iPhone 8, there is no frame at the bottom of it, as in older models, so using the device with one hand has become even more convenient. For greater ergonomics, Apple left a large area under the virtual keyboard unused.
