This puzzle will surely appeal to those who like to spend time with benefit. True, get ready, all your attentiveness and ingenuity will be required from you. Also, do not expect that you will easily and easily finish the assignments.
In Causality, you must help the astronauts get from the starting point to the finish point safely by moving the squares. You can move along the timeline by changing the squares with arrows. However, with the emergence of the temporary portal, strange things start to happen. After passing through it, the astronaut returns back to a fixed point on the timeline and collides with himself from the past, the so-called “clone”. Use the “clone” to move forward. “Clone” can interact with the original, so you have to brainstorm and decide how to use it to achieve your goals (video with gameplay at the end of the article).
The moment with the temporary portal in Causality can be confusing at first.
Advice: Since time portals always send the character back to the same point in time, it is best to go through them as late as possible. Things get more complicated when a time-traveling “clone” of an astronaut appears at the point where it is supposed to appear. If you create a path that the “clone” will take to a point on the timeline that precedes the point where you are now, the “clone” will appear at the point where it should be. You will need to go back in time and see how he traveled.
At first, the scheme of moving back and forth along the timeline using vertical swipes across the screen may seem silly, but as the game proves, it proves its worth. You can easily see the development of all events in slow motion, one step at a time. In order to move to a specific point in time, touch the desired location on the timeline at the bottom of the screen.
As the game progresses, you are required to intelligently move the squares with arrows. When the astronaut walks over these squares, it is best to leave them in the prone position so as not to disturb the order. However, you need to think ahead about your actions with temporary portals, so that the sudden appearance of the “clone” does not catch you by surprise.
Causality has 40 levels, but each of the four worlds has five additional levels that are particularly difficult. That’s right, if four dozen mind-blowing levels with all temporary portals and “clones” are not enough for your strong mind, the developers have provided 20 more. Those who have passed all 60 levels are guaranteed enlightenment and the discovery of the meaning of life.
Complete 40 basic levels is no longer an easy task, and those who succeed can be proud of themselves. Causality’s time travel scheme will puzzle even the smartest player. Controlling two or even three astronauts (depending on the level) is not so easy.
Causality looks amazing. Over time, the background changes, and the portals, switches and arrows are “spiced” with pleasant details. The animations are fluid, and this is especially noticeable when you control the time yourself. The airy, light soundtrack completely immerses you in the atmosphere of the game.
Causality is hardly a relaxation puzzle. Rather, the game is a test of ingenuity that not everyone will enjoy. Causality is for those who like to exercise their mind and solve difficult problems. The game cannot be called anything other than a great game, however, due to the confusing logic with the timeline, it can seem too complicated.
The game supports iPhone, iPad and iPod touch running iOS 9.0 and later. There is a localization into Russian.
