How to set up or exit Split View on Mac
The dividing line between the applications allows you to resize the applications so that you can give one of them more screen space than the other.
But the simultaneous launch of more than two applications in this mode is impossible. However, you can create several split screens, always combining two applications on them. And to complete the split view mode, close one of the applications or disable full-screen mode for any of the two windows involved in it. To do this, move the pointer to the top edge of the screen (so that the window control button appears), and then move the mouse cursor over the green button and select “Exit full screen”.
The advantage of Split View mode over simply deploying programs to half the screen like on Windows is that by taking the slider in the middle of the dividing line you can quickly change the ratio of the halves on the display. For example, it is very convenient when you have a browser running on 3/4 of the screen and the Notes program for the remaining 1/4 of the display. And you can surf and mark important points without unnecessary switching.
You can also quickly swap the location of programs, for which simply pull the window header of any application, and then drag it to the other half of the display.
