How to turn off autoplay on Apple Watch

09/09/2021 by ALOK DAS

Most Apple Watch owners are familiar with the audio player app Running – it automatically launches by default whenever you play audio through the app “Music” or “Podcasts” on iPhone. A similar screen appears during audio playback through any third-party iPhone app that also has an Apple Watch extension.

Application Performed provides quick access to playback controls right on your wrist, as well as track options such as Like / Dislike and Remove from Library… Plus, you can use the Digital Crown on Apple Watch to adjust the volume, which is useful when listening to AirPods or other headphones that don’t have built-in volume controls.

Some users may not like that the app Performed automatically appears when playing audio on iPhone. If you just want to see the watch face when you lift your wrist during audio playback, you can turn off this feature by default.

To the application Performed can be accessed without automatically going to the audio playback screen. One solution is to add an app Performed to the Dock on Apple Watch, accessed by pressing the side button.
