Sharing music is a great way to talk to people or make new friends. In iOS 13.5 and later, you can send the songs you are listening to to Instagram or Facebook directly from the Apple Music app.

How to share music from Apple Music on Instagram or Facebook
You can share artists, albums, playlists, and individual songs using the Apple Music app. All you have to do is click on the three-dot menu anywhere in the Apple Music app, and then select “Share” from the action popup.
If you want to put music on your story on Instagram or Facebook, and not just add a link in the status update, you will need to work with albums, playlists or songs.
To share an album or playlist, open them in the Apple Music app and click on the three-dot menu at the top of the screen. You can press and hold your finger on an album or playlist from your library to display a menu “Fast action”. There select Share album or Share Playlist.
To share a specific song, press and hold it in the Apple Music app to display a menu “Fast action”. You can also start playing a song, click on its name at the bottom of the screen, and then on the menu button with three dots. Select “Share” in the menu that appears (see screenshot above).
In the menu that opens “Share” tap the Instagram or Facebook icon in the second row to share music in your story in this application. You may need to scroll horizontally to find the items you need.

How to add Instagram and Facebook to the Share menu
If Instagram and Facebook icons are not in the second row, then you can customize the menu “Share” to display these items.
Scroll to the end of the second line and click on “Still”.
A list opens with each application that you can add to the shared sheet. Click “Edit”to make changes. Use buttons Add (+) next to Instagram and Facebook to add them to the list Favorite.
You can also drag and drop your favorite apps across the list to reorder them.
If Instagram and Facebook are still not displayed, then download and install these applications from the App Store. Then separately open each application and log in to your account.

How to share a song, album or playlist from Apple Music on Instagram story
After you click the Instagram button in the menu “Share”, a new page in the Instagram app opens showing the music you want to share.
Apple Music automatically creates a picture with the correct dimensions and a blurry background that matches the colors of the cover artwork. There will be a link to Apple Music, which your subscribers can click to open this song, album or playlist in the Apple music service.
Use the Instagram buttons at the top of the screen to add stickers, draw pictures, or paste text into your story. You can also drag an Apple Music image to zoom out, rotate, or move it around the screen.
At the bottom of the screen, select the option to share this post for “Your story” or “Close friends”. Or select “Share” for sharing with other people.
Anyone viewing your story can click a button. Play in Apple Music at the top of the screen to open this song, album, or playlist in the Apple Music app on your device.

Share a song, album, or playlist from Apple Music on Facebook
Like Instagram, Apple Music opens the Facebook app if you decide to share the music with your story on Facebook. At the same time, Apple Music creates a blurry background with the correct sizes, corresponding to the album cover for this music.
You can drag an album cover to reduce, enlarge, rotate or move it. You can also use the buttons at the top of the screen to crop the video, add stickers to the story, insert text, draw pictures or mark friends.
Use button “Effects” in the lower left corner to add filters and change colors. Then using “Confidentiality” Choose who can view this story after it’s published.
When you are ready, click Share in History. Other users viewing your story can click on the Apple Music link at the top to open this song in the Apple Music app on their device.

Added songs to the story from Apple Music will not play
Although you can usually add music to your stories on Instagram and Facebook, any stories you share with objects from the Apple Music app will turn out to be silent. Of course, anyone who views them can click on the Apple Music link at the top of your story to play this song in the Apple Music app.
