Alternatively, you can click on Force Quit (press ⇧Shift not needed), in the list of programs that appears, select Finder and press the button Restart.

1. Press the keyboard shortcut Option (Alt) + ⌘Cmd + Esc.

one. Open the program Terminal (Launchpad → Other → Terminal).
2. At the command line, type killall finder. Press key return (Enter).
