How to delete all browsing history in Safari on iPhone and Mac

27/02/2021 by ALOK DAS

[ad_1]

When a user visits sites on the Internet through Safari on an iPhone, iPod touch, iPad or Mac, the browser automatically creates and stores a history of all visited web resources and searches on the device. If desired, this information can be deleted, which will not only protect the confidentiality of the data, but also free up the amount of memory it occupies.

What data will be deleted along with browsing history?

Deleting browsing history in Safari on iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad will delete:

  • History of viewed web pages;
  • List of open web pages in chronological order;
  • List of frequently visited sites;
  • Cookies (“cookies”);
  • Recent searches
  • Icons of open web pages;
  • Sites added to “Quick Site Search”;
  • Sites that request permission to track the user’s location.

  • List of open web pages in chronological order;
  • Top sites not marked as permanent;
  • List of frequently visited sites;
  • Recent searches
  • Icons of open web pages;
  • Screenshots saved for open web pages;
  • Sites that request permission to track the user’s location;
  • Sites that request permission to send notifications;
  • Sites with content launched with Power Saver;

If Safari is activated in iCloud Settings on an iOS device and Mac, browsing history will be deleted both from the device and from the cloud storage (that is, on all devices under the same Apple ID account).
