For almost a year, you can easily connect the Dualshock controller from PlayStation 4 to our iPhone. This feature appeared in the current iOS 13, but many still do not know about it.
Frankly, I myself tried to make friends with my iPhone joystick only on the 8th day of self-isolation, and was pleasantly surprised: it’s much more convenient to play like that!
If you have Dualshock 4 and want to dominate mobile shooters and races, keep a detailed guide on how to connect the controller and what games you can play with it on your iPhone.
Which iPhone can I connect to Dualshock 4
Old Max Payne. Do you recognize?
The controller can be connected to any Apple gadget that has iOS 13, iPadOS 13, tvOS 13, and macOS Catalina installed. That is, playing games with comfort will turn out on the Apple TV, and on the MacBook, and on the iPad.
The main thing is that the OS is up to date. You can check it this way: Settings – General – About this device. If you have software version 13.4 or any other 13, then everything is in order. You can connect the controller from the PlayStation 4.
How to connect Dualshock 4 to iPhone
The connection is via Bluetooth and takes a few seconds. You need to hold down the SHARE and PS buttons on the controller until the indicator light flashes white.
Right after that, a new device called DUALSHOCK 4 Wireless Controller should appear in the Bluetooth menu on the iPhone. Feel free to tap on it.
If you did everything correctly, the indicator light on the controller will stop blinking and light up steadily. This means that Dualshock 4 is successfully connected to your iPhone.
Now when you press the PS button on the controller, it will connect to your iPhone automatically.
Be careful: the average operating time of the Dualshock 4 controller until it is completely discharged is about 7 hours. Do not forget to periodically recharge it from the wall outlet.
What games on iPhone can I play with the controller
And this is the most important: such games are just the sea. In general, all games that support MFI-controllers are compatible with Dualshock 4. There is even a separate site with a list of such games. There are about 800 of them, and this is not considering the games from Apple Arcade.
You can also download the free Game Controller Apps from the App Store, which has a complete list of iOS games with Dualshock 4 support.
This is even more convenient, because next to each game there is immediately a link to its page in the App Store for download.
Here are the top 10 in my opinion that you need to play with the controller:
1. “Contra” of the 21st century. Online shootouts with live opponents, a bunch of custom weapons, skills and appearance.
