Introduced earlier for the top models of the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, the QuickTake function with the release of iOS 14 (a detailed overview of new features) will also appear on the iPhone XR, XS and XS Max. These models were introduced back in 2018.

What is QuickTake in the iPhone camera?
The QuickTake feature was introduced for the 2019 Apple Smartphone line. This feature allows you to record video by holding down the shutter button in photo mode. Video recording will continue as long as you hold your finger on the shutter button.
Such a simple solution allows you to capture a worthy moment on the video, and not switch the camera mode, wasting time.
If you are going to shoot a long video, hold down the button and drag your finger to the right side of the screen. This action “on the fly” will allow you to switch to the traditional video mode.
Initially, QuickTake appeared only on the flagship line of smartphones in 2019, but with iOS 14 and older models: iPhone XR, XS and XS Max will receive. Moreover, QuickTake has also been added to the iPhone SE 2020.
In iOS 14, Apple also introduced a new feature that allows you to capture QuickTake videos on compatible devices by holding down the volume down button. This way of recording video is even faster. And by holding the volume up button, users can take continuous shots, which also became a new additional feature.
